Shopping & Sourcing
When you know exactly what you want but not where to find it.
Vietnam's markets, tailors and specialist shops are genuinely good value, but finding the right one — and getting a fair price as a foreigner — usually goes faster with someone who already knows where to look.
Personal shopping
Finding a specific product, comparing options across a market you don't know yet, or just not wanting to spend a free Saturday hunting for one specific item — a local personal shopper handles the legwork and usually negotiates a fairer price than a foreigner would get alone.
Tailoring and sourcing
Made-to-measure tailoring is one of Vietnam's genuine strengths, but picking a tailor who's actually good (rather than just convenient for tourists) matters for the result. The same goes for sourcing furniture or specific household items at the quality and price level you actually want.

Common questions
- Can someone help me find a specific item I can't locate myself?
- Yes — describe what you're looking for and your budget, and a local provider can usually track it down faster than searching cold, especially for anything sold mainly through markets or specialist shops rather than big retail chains.
