Why we built this
Moving to another country is mostly a research problem before it’s anything else. You need to know what a visa actually requires, what a fair rent looks like, which neighbourhoods make sense for you, and who to call when you need real local help — a lawyer, a mover, an agent you can trust rather than guess at.
HiLomi exists to make that research problem smaller. We help you build a realistic picture of what your move to Vietnam actually involves, then connect you with local providers who’ve done this before, when you decide you want the help.
Who it’s for
People who are genuinely planning a move, not just browsing — whether that’s already decided or still being weighed up seriously. Most of what we cover is useful even before you’ve committed: understanding the real cost, the real visa options, and what day-to-day life is actually like in each city.
How relocation planning works
The assessment asks about your situation — timeline, work status, family, budget — and builds a plan around it: what to sort out, roughly in what order, and where you might want local help along the way. It’s a starting point you can act on, not a form you fill in and forget.
What provider verification means
Providers on HiLomi go through a verification step before they can respond to customers. That means we’ve checked identity and relevant business or professional credentials — it doesn’t mean we’ve inspected their work or can guarantee how a specific job turns out. Providers remain responsible for their own professional advice and the service they deliver. If something matters legally or financially, confirm it directly with the provider and, where appropriate, an independent professional.
Vietnam first, for now
We’re starting with Vietnam because it’s where the team has real, specific knowledge — not because it’s the only place people are relocating to. The plan is to go deep here first and get it right, before thinking seriously about anywhere else.
